”Nicolae Testemitanu” University actively participated in "MoldMedizin&MoldDent"

Healthcare professionals gathered in Chisinau, at the specialized international exhibition "MoldMedizin&MoldDent" - a major event dedicated to innovation, technology and medical education, which took place between September 25-27, 2025.

Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy was present with pharmaceutical preparations and medicinal plants, scientific papers, samples from the field of medical therapy and rehabilitation, publications in national and international specialized journals, projects and posters, as well as exhibits from the field of dentistry and healthy lifestyle promotion.

In the opening, Health Minister Ala Nemerenco emphasized the relevance of the exhibition for the modernization of the local medical system: "The exhibition has become a platform for evaluating achievements and shaping the future of the health system. The government has made unprecedented investments, of over 4 billion lei, in the modernization of the infrastructure and the provision of high-performance equipment. We also welcome the fact that this year a special emphasis was placed on the prevention of diseases and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle."

The President of the Association of Dentists of the Republic of Moldova, Associate Professor Oleg Solomon, Head of Ilarion Postolachi Department of Orthopedic Dentistry at Nicolae Testemitanu University, highlighted the role of the exhibition in the development of dentistry in our country. "Our association, a member of the World Dental Federation, continues to promote oral health at the highest standards. This exhibition offers dentists the opportunity to interact directly with the latest technologies and participate in professional dialogues essential for everyday practice," Oleg Solomon specified.

The novelty of the current edition of the show was the launch of "Health Life Expo" segment, focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle. "Through the new niche - Health Life Expo - we want to bring medical information closer to the general public, because prevention and education are fundamental," said Zinaida Popa, interim director of Moldexpo International Exhibition Centre, the host of the event.

Representatives of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy organized scientific-practical conferences with the participation of health experts, as well as provided consultations at medical checkpoints. These events included scientific-practical conferences with international participation: “Scientific-practical integration in advanced technologies in dentistry”, held by the Dental Association of the Republic of Moldova in collaboration with Ilarion Postolachi Department of Orthopedic Dentistry; “Antibacterials – challenges and solutions”, organized by the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, and “Patients with multimorbidity – practical approach”, held by the Association of Family Physicians of the Republic of Moldova in collaboration with the Department of Family Medicine of Nicolae Testemitanu State  University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Also, Alexandru Nacu Department of Mental Health, Medical Psychology and Psychotherapy in collaboration with the Mental Health Laboratory and the Society of Psychiatrists, Narcologists, Psychotherapists and Clinical Psychologists of the Republic of Moldova conducted two workshops: "Integrated Psychological Intervention (IPI) - Effective Strategies for Change" and "De-escalation in Clinical Practice: Prevention and Management of Conflict Situations"; the Department of Pathology in collaboration with the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Computational Medicine - the interactive lecture "Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization in Medicine: Support for Doctors", and the Department of Ophthalmology and Optometry - the public lecture "Modern Management of Dry Eye". The Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology held the National Colloquium in Traumatology, and the Department of Pediatrics in collaboration with the Pediatric Society of the Republic of Moldova - the National Colloquium "Growth Problems in Children: From Diagnosis to Treatment".

The XXVIII edition of the "MoldMedizin&MoldDent" exhibition brought together over 50 local and foreign companies.
