Medical insurance

Under the legislation of the Republic of Moldova, first-year foreign students are required to purchase Optional Health Insurance from any licensed insurance provider, valid for a minimum of three months. This insurance is a prerequisite for obtaining a temporary residence permit in the Republic of Moldova and must cover treatment costs for infectious diseases.

Upon receiving the temporary residence permit, foreign students, like Moldovan citizens, must annually purchase Compulsory Health Insurance. Additionally, students are registered with a family doctor at the University Clinic of Primary Health Care for ongoing medical support.
