VISAS

1. Foreign citizens who have come to the Republic of Moldova to study in the European Union, CIS countries, the USA, and other countries do not need a visa to enter the territory of the Republic of Moldova. At the state border crossing point, they will have their national passport stamped with the appropriate entries by the state border security bodies. The foreign citizen has the legal right to stay in the territory of the Republic of Moldova for 90 days. 

2.  Citizens of a number of countries require a D/AS visa to enter the territory of the Republic of Moldova to study in pre-university, university, or post-university education. Information on the documents required to apply for a visa can be found on the page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova. The MD visa applicant shall apply in person at the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Moldova abroad, or through his/her legal representative. The foreign citizen has the legal right to stay in the territory of the Republic of Moldova for 90 days from the date of issuing the visa.

3. Foreign citizens arriving for studies are obliged to present themselves at the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, at the Department of Recruitment and Documentation of Foreign Citizens, for 3 days after entering the territory of Moldova, for the initiation of the documentation procedure for obtaining the right of temporary residence for studies. Information on the documents required for obtaining a temporary residence permit on the territory of the Republic of Moldova can be accessed on the page of the General Inspectorate for Migration
